Moonlight

I would like to get a moonlight for my 55g tank and was wondering if there are any benefits to moonlights and what model you'd recommend

Yes unless there's another type of moonlight bulbs I haven't discovered yet

The ones I've seen are more for fish keepers and maybe for shy fish. Blue light penetrates water better compared to red light but on mine they have never added much.

I'm looking for more of nocturnal fish so I can get a chance to see them. I don't really have a preference to color

I run a blue light in the late evenings, the fish calm down and disperse, finding their night time spot before the lights go out for the night. I don't know if the fish benefit from it but I like the look. The Plec comes out more in the blue light.
