coldmachineUK -- I have never heard of actinics as moonlights, but it may be more common in the SW world (something I am not familiar with)... I guess if you have been doing it with little effect the sure Esra, give it a try.

Google: Blue Moon

"Blue moon has a pleasing moon light style effect and so can be used foe after dark lighting of aquariums, this lets you view nocturnal inhabitants."
- Fishandfins.co.uk

"Blue Moon Actinic 36w (16") High Power T5 Compact Lighting.
Ideal For:
Creating moonlight effect for night viewing
- to see elusive catfish and crustaceans.
- to enhance the beauty of the aquarium."
- Aquatics-direct.co.uk

"Blue Moon Actinic : for night viewing and enhancing corals"
- aquarist.net

I'm not talking about Marine Blue or Marine White, but Blue Moon, by Interpet. This is specifically for moon light effects, or for enhancing the look of corals in marine aquaria in tandem with a daylight bulb.

HTH!
