More questions....lol

Will algae eating shrimp eat plants? or make holes in them?

will my tiger barbs eat the shrimp?

Algae-eating shrimp rarely go after healthy plants but they'll occasionally nibble at them.

Your Tiger Barbs will devour the shrimp if they can. I watched mine tear 5 ghost shrimp apart before my very eyes!

Oh no

hopefully they will last a little bit of time, as the tiger barbs are very small at the moment

also they will have a job finding them as the tank dwarfs the fish in there, and its fully planted.

i haven't seen the shrimp since the second they went in lol

Haha, you probably haven't seen them because they got ate!!! Never underestimate the ability of tiger barbs to tear things apart into smaller pieces that WILL fit in their mouths, haha.

I no longer keep tiger barbs for this very reason

cost me a tenner for them.......

am looking into this planted tank stuff, and want to have a planted tank, i think i may need to have a re-think of the tank in the future........

it will be ok for now tho, gotta get used to controlling the water conditions etc....
