I was thinking that in my divided betta tank that I would have moss grow on the divider. My question are:

1) Will water still be able to pass between the dividers?
2) Will moss grow in the small holes on the divider?
3) What type of moss would be best to use?

Thanks :D

1 depends on the kind of divider you use
2 yes
3 i would go with something like christmas moss tiawan moss willow moss

then there wont be much flow. if you use something thats more open more flow will go between the sections. personally i would just find some egg create and cut it to size.

Get some plexiglass, trim it to fit in your tank, then drill holes every inch or so in a grid pattern. My fiance used a 1/4 inch drill bit.

Riccia would look sweet and allow for flow, but it would take a whole mess of patience.

get plastic craft canvas
cut to size
throw in some moss
"sew" the two sides together
pick up some of those report cover things in a stationary department that have a clear plastic "cover" and then that hard plastic thing that holds everything together and silicone them front and back in the aquarium.
slide in your java moss sammich
let it grow
here's one without growth

growing but not still grown in

Hence my "whole mess of patience" comment.
