A week ago we completed moving everything out of the 10 gal tank to a 39 gallon tank.

The move appears to be successful with no loss (yet) of fish.

The new tank is running the filter that came with it as well as the filter that was on the 10 gal. Gravel was moved over and used on top of the new gravel. Plants, etc., were all moved as well with nothing being allowed to dry out. After a day of the new tank running and prime added the fish were drip acclimated for several hours and then added.

There has been daily water checks and Ammonia is steady between 0 and .25 (thats normal for here), Nitrites 0, nitrates just barely registering.

After nearly a week we did add a platy for the tank had 6 danio (zebra and glow fish) and 3 platies.

How long will it be before I find if the tank will mini-cycle or re-cycle?

Should I provide more cover for the fish than what we have?

Should we do anything different to the tank to make it better for the fish?
