Here's what I'm thinking:

Brought air pump with y fitting and 8 ft of tubing and two air stones
Already had ac dc adapter for car and 3 5 gallon plastic buckets

Plan on using two of the buckets for fish - about 25 of them
One for small fish-some are only a few months old. Will add some plastic plants so babies can take cover.
One for large fish with just a little bit of plants.
Stop feeding one day before move. Minimize waste during trip
Will line buckets with white trash bags for spill control
3rd bucket is for gravel and plants and water wheel to keep biological matter alive with water in bucket
Will use 1/3 tank water and 2/3 new in buckets
Keep bubbler working during trip. No food. Keep temp about same.
Set up as soon as at destination using all water plus fresh as needed
Expert about 36 hours
Am I missing anything?

It sounds to me like you have a good plan, although I've never attempted this before. Hopefully someone else can chime in. I might add a little prime to their water before leaving though.

looks pretty good to me, maybe small heaters to keep the bucket water in check? unless you its hot where you are driving, then just dont blast the A/C the whole time.

other then that it looks good. fish are transported all across the world and they survive for the most part :p
