We want to move all our danios and CAE from our 20 gallon tank to our 65 gallon tank so we can start a fishless cycle in our 20 gallon (it's taking forever to cycle.) If our pH is the same in both tanks (same water source) and the temperature is the same, can we just take all the fish from the 20 gal and plop them into the 65 gal one at a time, or do we have to do the "just bought a new fish" method and float the fish in the new tank and introduce water from the tank gradually, etc, etc? The only difference is the 65 gal they'd be going into has much higher nitrates. The 20 gal has only about 10 the 65 gal has around 40 nitrates. We'd be moving 5 danios and 1 CAE into a 65 gal that only has 4 danios and 1 CAE.
