Looks like you're getting some very good growth. Plants look very healthy. It's hard to tell what the fine leaf plant is from the pic. I would like to see it pruned some to give it a sloping effect, front to back.

BrianNY ... Do you mean the big plant in the middle at the back and on the right hand side in front of the filter? It just grows and grows, I have taken a lot of shoots off it already!

I'll have to check the name out tonight when I get home.

Yep, that's the plant I mean Brian. One thing about plants, much like us getting a haircut they will grow back. Don't be afraid to trim it.

One more question, may not be relavant to this forum / thread. What is the story with CO2 .. does it need to be added to a tank? Why is this? I've seen it in some other threads and am not sure about it.

It is a must only if you are driving photosynthesis with high lighting. Read the sticky on CO2 in the plants forum. It's filled with info.
