I got 4 assorted Cichlids to start it off. I don't know any specific names, but they are all cool looking. None of them wanted to stay still for the camera though, except the bigger spotted one.

Thanks for taking a look, and thanks Aquariumadvice.com for getting me started!

The first one might be a red top zebra--or some Pseudotropheus sp. The second one looks like a white zebra (Pseudotropheus zebra). The third has lips like a jewel, but I really can't see it well enough (Hemichromis bimaculatus). The last is a Nimbochromis livingstonii (if it is more white than yellow) or Nimbochromis venustus if it has giraffe colorings.

What size tank is this? You will need to creat more caves. The Pseudotropheus spieces are Mbuna cichlids, which means they are rock dwellers. They elovled eating plant material and should not be fed alot of meat/protiens. Mine love algae wafers, blanched peas, cucumber and zucchini.

The Nimbochromis is a surface dweller that evolved as a hunter.

All fish will eat frozen foods, but you want to be careful to avoid "Malawi bloat."

A great site for more info:

I searched through the pictures on other sites and I think you are right on with every fish!

I wondered why they loved my rock with the holes in it so much, I guess I'll try and put a couple more small caves in there.

It's a 20gal tank for now, but I've been saving to move my turtle out of his 55gal and into an indoor pond setup. So they would eventually move into a 55 in about a year or so.

Thanks for the help!
