Aquarium Advice Newbie
So I had a 30g tank with the usual fish like tetras and I wanted to add a finishing touch... A betta... But males are mean and females are ugly the only bettas left were babies! I got a beautiful red male betta baby and put him in the tank with the other fish. At first they picked on him but one of my nice black skirt tetras protected him and soon he was excepted! He wasn't too young so he grew in a couple of months and they were all like best friends and he never thought to fight them! He did flare at his reflection though and thy all stayed way from him then but it was awesome until his main best friend died by jumping out of the tank in the middle of the night. He was depressed and started attacking the other fish so I had to move him into a different tank he got much bigger and now is really mean but as far as I'm aware this is strange for fish to get depressed
