Alright i finally set up my tank. I just added the substrate and the water and this is gross but it looks like diareaha. But anyways how long does it normally take for the water to settle down?

2 - 3 days. What kind of substrate?

*sigh* i'm glad to here it tanks 2-3 days because i've had it going for a couple of hours and it still looks the same.

is it normal though for it to turn all my stuff ( heater, c02 reactor, powerhead, etc. ) into a muddy looking color because when i look at them and touch them mud comes on my finger.

did you rinse it first? i found that even though i rinsed it as well as i could, it continued to cloud the water after evey water change for MONTHS! truly horrible stuff, even if it good for the plants!

Well guys the tank is up and running. Its nice and clear lol. I got a rock formation going in it and all i need are plants. Thats where you guys come in. I need some sites for plants. Or if anyone is selling and good ones that would be great. Thanks.
