Seems like I haven't been on this board for awhile. Been busy. But now it's my turn to pose a question. My largest (and last) mystery snail, a big yellow one, will hibernate for up to a day or so, curled up in the shell, then start moving again like nothing had happened.

How do I tell (hopefully not for long time) when this guy is really dead? This is the only invert in the tank (any added shrimp are merely snacks for the kribs that reside here), water params seem normal, and the fish are fine.

Take him out and smell him if smells really bad then hes dead if not then he may be alive. Just be paintent, more than likly he will be alive just "resting" But definitly smell him
