Need help diagnosing an aquarium disaster

I usually seperate food for each day they need to be fed and put it in baggies for each tank. That way there is no way they can overfeed. Unless they are doing it on purpose.

Pill boxes are an easy way to provide proper sized daily feedings also!(y)
 
I don't have many of those... None actually...

My way works for me, its only 1-2 feedings per tank while I'm gone. Or maybe none at all for the peaceful tanks... The cichlids are another story.
