Hi y'all I have a 150g freshwater tank with a 40g wet dry filter! I have a big clam that makes big bubbles but I have and air stone in the other corner! The air stone makes a lot of bubbles so much that my overflow gets bubbles in it! I was wondering if I can put that air stone in my sump? That way I don't get any bubbles in my overflow! Thanks

You really don't need the air stone with a wet dry filter.
The surface movement from the overflow skimmer creates all the "out gassing" necessary.
I wouldn't bother with the air stone in the sump.

+1 even with other types of filters a small power head or circulation pump near the surface would add more surface agitation(hence gas exchange) than an airstone without the annoyance of bubbles

Agreed, with a wet dry you have lot's of aeration. Forget about the air stone.

I have a 90 gallon freshwater and just did a landscape makeover and removed my air-stone that was previously in there. We think it actually looks better and probably a little more natural as well , the bubbles were actually a distraction from the fish. I did adjust my spray bars to break the surface tension of the water. Not to mention it is quieter without the air pump and conserving electricity. I'll keep the air pump for the sponge filters though. But that's just me.
