I need some help stocking a smallish cube tank. All my life I have had aggressive large cichlids and now want to try something different. Smaller fish, schooling fish, peaceful community etc etc but I dont know much about other fish specie apart from cichlids.

Tank info is:
47cm / 18.5 inch cube tank
102 litres / 27gallons
Aquaclear 70 HOB filter
eheim heater
No live plants... (maybe in future)

I'm looking for something that looks natural and exotic.
I need top dwellers, middle dwellers, and bottom dwellers and want a larger feature fish. (just larger than other fish)
I'd also like tank under stocked if possible as I love the look of fish with plenty of room.

Any help?

Thanks guys.

1M/2F trio of peacock gudgeons or cherry barbs (mid)
sparkling gouramis (top)
Pseudomugil rainbows (top-mid)
small cories (pygmaeus, habrosus, hastatus) (bottom)
killifish pair or trio (top-mid)

Lots of nice, peaceful schoolers available but I'd personally stay away from them if you want understocked/open space.

Thanks for that. Looking for more options.
