Neon eater?

Would silver dollar fish or an American eel eat neon tetra?

I would guess an american eel would snack on them 24/7!! Do u have one? And where did u get it? Those things get like 8ft (at least in the wild) and are probably about as thick as your thigh as an adult. (This is if this is a true American eel)

I got it from a market here in Mexico. It said lemon eel. Or maybe it could be a Raphael catfish eating them?

The eel will eat anything it can get its mouth on. Not a good fish for a community tank. You really have to do your homework before you buy something you aren't familiar with. Don't rely on the seller for your information.

Yes, once large enough, they very well might. But I doubt the silver dollars are big enough yet.

A raphael could be a culprit too i would guess if it is big enough, but my bet is on the eel

One of the Raphael's is about 2 inches
