Neosilurus Ater

If there's ever been one fish that I need to have, it's this one. Where can I get one of these magnificent creatures?

I have 5 LFS near me (two of them have a ton of livestock, the others a fair amount), and I've never seen one before. I seem to have trouble getting ahold of the various catfish I want here in Texas. I've had my name on a list for ~1 year just for marbled hoplo cats, and it was over 8 months between finding my first and second groups of brown hoplos.

I talked to some folks recently and it seems that they've been spotted before in the past at a store about five hours away. And with a pretty hefty price tag too!


I'd pay quite a bit for a healthy specimen that I could observe firsthand though.
