New Aquarium Advice - Juwel 240 Rio Advice

I have only been keeping tropical fish for a few months but have got the bug big time. Im about to make a jump from a small 60l Arcadia Arc tank and Eheim Ecco Pro 200 to Juwel Rio 240 ( White ), I was wondering anyone else has this tank and would recommend it or not, I was also hoping to run my Eheim Ecco Pro 200 in the Rio for a while along with its own filter to help with the cycling, is there any access for the intake outtake pipes? and would anyone recommend Seachem onyx sand for a substrate, sorry about all the questions - just don't want to blow alot of money on a duff set up.
