just made my aquarium half sand half gravel!! mostly cleared up after a few hours!! i reckon looks allright! really thinking of going full sand!

Looks good to me. I would probably advise staying away from full sand though, unless you have fish or plants that require it. Sand is difficult to clean, and it's susceptible to bacterial deposits that not only look unsightly, but can be damaging to your tank inhabitants, unless it's stirred up once in a while to allow it to "breathe." An all sand substrate can look amazing though. Just quite a bit more work than gravel.
 
the major reason i did half sand, was to learn what i have to do on a smaller scale! i guess ill see how i go and if i can control the current sand!
