new tank!

So my girlfriend decided we needed to upgrade her 5 gal to a 10, and since I was completley fine we decided to make it sand botom as well.
Her tank stock is 1 delta tail betta, 3 neons, and a platy, and a bristlenose
(Her 5 gal got a little yucky and some fish didn't make it , but I've made her tank a daily prioraty, next to mine, until we can get it under control)
Floating gravel in filter, w/ established media already.
We will up the stock or move them depending on how this plays out

Sounds good for now, but remember that BN is going to grow! I'm sure you have a backup plan, and when that happens, I'd suggest adding 3-4 more neons to the group, rehoming the platy to a different tank, and calling it stocked.

Ugh the platty was a baby from long ago, and she had to keep it :/ . I have 4 neons in my planted 10, and as soon as I'm sure the 5 to 10 gal switch is done ill put them in there and the bn is in a "rehab tank" until he's ready for my planted 10. The 10 gal will soon be a 20, withjust the bn, betta, and 4 kuhlis plus skrimps

So its been a bit, and the ammonia has gone down a smidge (there is some in my tap) found home for platy, and I feel like I may have done everything just right to get just a baby cycle, so ill keep checking, but now we have that empy 5 gal... nano salt perhaps....

This log covered in white sand made her think christmas, so were off to find a makeshift aqua safe christmas tree and presents kinda scene for this tank.. "the christmas tank"
