I've got a spare tank that I'm going to set up, but I'm not really sure what I'd like to stock it with. I've already got a 29g with rainbows, swordtails, and some larger catfish and my wife has a 5g with a betta and some neons. I'm looking for something a little different to put in the 20L. My wife likes raising fry, so maybe an egg-layer that's easy to breed?

Toss out some ideas for me. I'm thinking community type of tank, but if it's something interesting, I'm open to ideas. Thanks!

Try forktail rainbows. Awesome lil guys. Or you could try a pair of kribensis or german blue or gold rams. Easy to breed.

If your wife is a betta person, make a divider out of plexiglass and put a male on one side and a female on the other. You can bred them at some point. We have a 20L that's male/females/male divided and a 5.5 male/female.
