New tank for synodontis eupterus

Hey guys!

A friend basically dumped his featherfin on me last week as he knew I was getting a large tank this summer.

But my 150gal an 100gal plans have feel through (sellers sold to other people)

He's currently in my understocked 25gal with 7 assorted tetra.

I need to know the best tank size for him so he doesn't get stunted.

Helps?!

I'd recommend a 55. Looked online and found that they require a 40g. Seems kind of small to me though.

I was thinking a 70gal?

That way he will have a huge tank to explore and any fish I add won't get in the way?

55g would be a minimum. A 75g or larger would be ideal.

Good idea. They do like to stake out a nice piece of territory for themselves.

Yea I want to make sure he can claim his own space and not have other fish harassing him all day while he tries to sleep lol.

I've never seen mine sleep- he is constantly watching! He monitors all the goings on inside AND outside the tank! Hehe.

Mine has 2 pieces of Mopani that he's claimed for himself.

He's grown so much in the little time I've had him! He's gonna be huge! ^_^
