New tank set up, what fish?

Hello, I'm quite new to fish keeping I've had goldfish in the past and about 5 months ago I started up a tropical tank with endler guppies cory catfish and red cherry shrimp, recently I've just added guppies and assassin snails and I'm going to upgrade to a 64 litre tank near Christmas time, however I'm a little confused of what fish to add to the tank, I don't want a whole tank full of small fish, so I want to add a slightly bigger one, I will be adding ottos to the tank after a couple of months for algae clean up but I'm not sure what else to add, the I have currently got:
3 cory catfish
8 enlder guppies
6 guppies 1 male 5 female
5 red cherry shrimp
9 assassin snails( started with 3)

Ive already got 1 more male guppy and 2 ottos on the shopping list, could anyone suggest any types of fish, also I've got a little boy so I'm looking for quite colourful fish, thank you

Look for dwarf gouramis. They are very cool.
