I might be getting a larger tank. I previously own a 20 gallon. I know someone who I offering a free setup. I was wondering if I should get sand or gravel again. The fish I have are the following;
2 Angels
1 Gourami
1 cichlid
2 tiger barbs
3 black skirts
1 Pleco
4 snails total
Some of the fish I will be giving away to my younger brother. I don't quite know what fish I should keep and wether I should stay with pebbles/gravel or switch to sand

Yea she really is, I'm glad I picked her up. Petco sometimes has some really beautiful fish

Moines mentioned this ye and I'm not trying to be a downer, but I don't think your stock is compatible, in the right conditions, or in the right tank size

I like the eco comp. black. I ordered 40lbs of it to mix with my Tahitian moon sand. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
As far as your stock goes, at least you have your brother to help you cull your stock to suit you. Any ideas on what you'll keep?

My friend said he will take whatever I don't really want. I'm keeping my angels the cichlid, and maybe my tiger barb. But I might possibly just have a only cichlid tank. Depends how everything turns out

2 of the potted plants are being returned so its not that I have to many. And a few of my plants are fake so I was just putting in live plants and then hopefully rearranging my tank before the larger one comes to me.

You may want to look at Eco-complete. Hears a pic of it in one of my tanks.

I was also looking for a dark color sand so this will work out perfectly. The bags only come in 20 lbs 40 lbs and 60lbs am I right? That means if have to get a 40 lb bag. Do you remember about how much the price tag is for that?
