new to bettas

Thanks. Yes its an aqueon evolve 1.5 gal I think all filtration is hidden in back and they leave room for a mini submersible heater which I have.
 
I have had a 75 gal. In my living room for about a 1.5 yes now and my g/f wanted a betta so this was the setup I chose. Here is my 75 gal.

Looks good, but, if it were me, I would add a cave or other place for him to get away.

Betta's love being able to have a hiding spot.

Also, I dont see a heater in there? Do you have one??
Betta's should have a temp of between 78-82

edit:: I didnt see the post where you said that you did have a heater.

I'm assuming she put it in the filter (like most people do with fluval specs).
 
Yeah, I dont have a fluval so I didnt know that, but I did see it mentioned after I posted that so I apologise.

Other than possibly adding a place to hide though, I think your tank looks like a perfect home for a betta!
