Aquarium Advice Regular
ok so the story goes..
I bought 3 turquoise rainbows a few days ago and one died the day after. Then just yesterday i noticed the 2 remaining rainbows had a few spots that im sure is ich. When i bought them they all looked healthy however i have been trying to get these rainbows for about a month from my LFS and they wernt avaiable because they all had ich. So i dont know if they cured the rainbows for ich then sold them or if they were a new batch of rainbows.
When my rainbow died i went and bought an API test kit. My Nitrates are Gatorade Red. I have only ever tested for ammonia in the past and there has never been a problem.
So back to the rainbows i used a half dose of coppersafe and raised the temp in my tank from 79 to 84 over a 12 hour period. I also dissolved aquarium salt and put into my tank water. Also have and air machine in the water.
And just now i did a 35% PWC with vacuum clean up. I used just under the emergency dose (4x) of Seachem Prime in the new water.
My tank info:
75 Gal Freshwater
1 Festive
1 Rhino Pleco
2 Clown Loaches
3 Odessa Barbs
and now 2 Turquoise Rainbows
I am managing the ich and it seems to be getting better after 1 day so far (ich was very minimal)
What else do i need to do to get my nitrates down?
Please help i do not want to lose my fish.
Here are some water tests i have done of water before PWC and regular tap water.
