Would have taken more than a couple days. Sorry to hear that they didn't make it.

A pH drop from 7.2 to 6.8 isn't anything to worry about IMO... certainly not enough to nuke a cycle.

Exactly what I was thinking. The remaining snails shrimp and cards are great though.
I will be supplementing them soon when things stabilize and will contact you to stock my new 10 gallon soon
I am also looking to set up a 55 gal bio-top soon.
