Nitrite Tests?

I've been using ammonia tests (to check the levels) every week, and I'm wondering if I should be using Nitrite tests too. Can I determine Nitrite levels by just using ammonia tests or should I be testing separately? Waiting for my fish-in cycle to end so I can add a few more fish.
