What would be the "fish limit" for this tank? My son wants a few more platy for color.
44gal pentagon tank w/ 30 gal freshwater. 3 fire belly toads, 2 fire belly newts, 3 neon tetras, 2 platys, 1 spotted Raphael cat, 1 Chinese algae eater, 2 Burmese zebra loaches.
Thank you

The chinese algae eater needs to be rehomed. They get big and get aggressive. I don't know alot about Rapheal Cats but I think they get somewhat big and might outgrow the tank. I'm surprized the neons haven't been eaten and do better in groups of 6 or more. I don't think adding 2-3 platies would add too much more on the bio-load. But your really going to need to keep up on water changes. I've kept newts before when the kids were little so I know they are fine but I do believe the fire bellied toads can and will eat fish if they decide they want to go after them.
