Perhaps I should look for something that might be dead.

Ammonia 1.0
Nitrite 0.0
Nitrate 10

Bizaar, on my most established tank. It has been cycled for 5+ months.
 
It's great that you're questioning this FishyPeanut. Whenever a new cycle starts in an established tank the most likely cause is a rapid kill off of all or part of your nitrifying bacterial colony. Have you recently cleaned the filters? Have you done a massive gravel vac? Was there a sudden pH swing? All of these things can be detrimental to the good bacteria.

I'm making the assumption that your tank is neither over stocked, or over fed. The next culprit is that more waste is being produced than can be handled.
 
the dwarf gouramis and glass cats, but it only has 2 DGs and the glass cats in it right now. everything else has been moved out.
