You heard it. Post pics of all your plecos out there. :)

Hi, I'm Felix the Pleco. Nice to meet you all....

Hi, I'm Charlie Brown, the male BN Pleco. I got 3 other girls that I have my eye on, hehehe... (y)

Well I'm horrified now. :(

But let's keep this thread fun again.
Here's Jerry, it's a pretty old pic:

Here's Bristles, who lives in a different tank now:

Here's Chubbs, named so because his head always looks fat:

I haven't seen him in a really long time and I hope he's still alive.

And finally, I don't know if this counts, but here's Stretch:

Severum mama, Stretch is very cool. What exactly is he may I ask?

Some good looking healthy plecos out there.

Thanks Zagz, he (or she) is a farlowella acus, I think they are also called twig catfish. So I don't know if he counts as a pleco but as one of my favorite fish I posted it anyway.

random question of curiosity, I would love to have a pleco in my tank, but also want to keep my live plants. I also don't want a foot long fish in this particular tank. What are my options? right now I have an otto, and just might buy a few more of those, but not sure yet.

edit: its a 55 gallon btw

Well, they are part of the Loricarid family.
I've actually been thinking about going to pick one up, if they still have it! :)

Here's my handsome Pleco 'Count'! The first photo was taken a day or so after I bought him in July of 05 (nice size comparison - right in front of my Dwarf Gourami). The 2nd photo was taken in Nov of 05. The last photo was taken in Feb of 06. Looks like I need to get some more up to date shots of this cutie! :)

A bristlenose plec would be perfect for you. They grow to 3 - 4 inches max and generally leave plantings alone. My BN plec grazes on green hair algae, algae wafers, fresh veggies, and any food that gets past the angels and tetras.

Fred loves his zucchini---excuse the cat noseprints on the back o' the tank-he's in his 55g and we have the background up now.

And I love all you all's pl*cos-gorgeous!
