I have snails that hitchhiked on the plants in my aquarium. Currently they are all pretty small (max of 0.2inches/5mm). I inadvertently crushed one with my tweezers while extracting it from the tank. As it fell, a fish swam over and quickly gobbled it up. it looked like it got almost all of it (including most of the crushed shell). My question is this, can/will the crushed shells hurt their stomachs or intestines?

The fish seemed to really like it and I might as well intentionally crush and feed the snails I catch if there is no harm to be done.

I have neon tetras, x-ray tetras, a guppy, and peppered cory catfish. The fish are all about 1/2 to 3/4 grown.

Thanks

I used to do this all the time and none of my fish seemed to suffer injury or illness from it
