OK, so I got a veggie clip to try lettuce as a food. I bought some romaine lettuce, put a leaf in the freezer for 15 minutes, and then put the leaf on the clip, and stuck it in the water. They looked at me kinda funny, and nibbled on the leaf a bit. My question is, how long should I leave the lettuce in the tank? They didn't seem too interested overall--it's been about 3 hours, and the leaf is only missing a little bit.

im not sure iv only put lettuce in my tank for feeding plecos and it was gone over night, but im sure you could leave it in longer, but not for too long.

Definitly try overnight. A lot of fish will eat it overnight...same as zuccini and such. I'd say it's safe to leave it in there for a day.
