One more Driftwood question

I have a big piece of wood at the house I wanted to put in my tank but, I think it is a piece of cedar!!! 8O
My first thought is to NOT put cedar wood in the tank, is that right?
Or can I use it?

I think it would be fine it was old enough (i.e. had been in the driftwood cycle a long time) but if its fresh at all I wouldn't.

I would saw a slice off the end - if you can smell cedar from the fresh cut, I wouldn't put it in the tank.
