These are the ones I use for online information on fish Tropical Fish Care Guides and Aqualand Pets Plus

The Skeptical Aquarist

For fish ID, you are best to try a specialty site - like planetcatfish for catfish, applesnail.org for apple snails, etc. And plantgeek for plants.
