I've got a male and female. My male is much smaller than the female and she is bullying him a bit. They tend to stay together in the corner of the tank and she always comes up and begs for food and is very social with us. (Our puppy fish)
Problem is - she has been chasing him back to his corner often when he comes up to eat or beg with her. At this time she has grown a bit and so has he but he is still much smaller than her.
Also he is the only fish she bullies. I've got a dwarf flame gourami and tetras and bottom feeders who she does not bother at all. Only him! Is there a reason? Is this normal? Should he be smaller than her?
Thanks!

I had two dwarf gouramis that were different colors but the same size. They were very territorial. She might be just showing dominance.

They were still both pretty young at that time.
Thanks for your response. Sadly though, this question is no longer applicable as I had illness in my tank which took my male gourami.
