Ornate bichir tankmates

I want an ornate bichir, but im not sure if it could eat denison barbs or boesemani rainbows

Also, how long does it grow in an aquarium setting? Thanks

they get around a foot more or less depending how big your tank is. and it would probably eat the barbs and rainbows when it gets bigger so i would start of small. really small. but i had one ornate bichir and albino bichir in a 30 gallon tank long with guppies and tetras, surprisingly they didnt eat any of the fish. when they got big like around 6 inches they still didnt eat them, but my guess is because they grew up together the fry always stayed near the bichir. but i put them in a 55 gallon tank with bigger fish so they were happy .
