Have 3 Otos in a 40 gallon and I was wondering how long until it is free of algae or when I need to give em zucchini and wafers it's brown algae and it's all over the tank walls plants and driftwood thanks!

You may havr to keep an.eye on them to make sure they eating
I feed mine once a week and they also eat flakes and pellets.

There will be no more algae once you cant see it ;)
And i dont think 3 will be enough, six sounds more effective.
And i would feed them if they look hungry, or they dont eat the algae

Oto's do best in larger groups. Just offer an alternative food (I use blanched zucchini) once a week. But it in on a clip (I put it in a couple places) right after lights go off. Also since they are little just cut the slices somewhat thin.
