My group of 5 Panda Corydoras spend what seems like a disproportate amount of time staying in just one place. They lay around and pick for maybe 20 minutes in an hour though they seem to get more active later in the evening.

Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10

They range in size with the largest being almost 2 inches and the average being about 1 inch.

Is this normal behavior?
Any help is appreciated!

My group is active during the crepuscular time periods as well as when the lights are off. There's not much movement during the day, although periodic rummaging is common.

What I have found very interesting is that they somehow know when the lights are about to go out, as there is a tenfold increase in their activity level immediately prior.

Thank that was the exact answer I was hoping for. I guess I won't worry too much then.

Agree with David. Mine tend to do the same thing although mine get really active when I'm near the tank regardless of the time of day. I think they love me!
