Petco sand

Does any one recommend this sand? Like or dislike.

I wanna out some sand in my 10g tank and was thinking about getting some.

It's similar to PFS or arganite sand. Maybe just a tad bit larger.

Nope, it's not really fine. Yes, just hover over it. It's a great sand for your first time. It's really easy to rinse and vacuum.

Now to decide on color... Does white sand turn brown after a while?

Yes, but just swish it around.

I went from gravel to petco white sand, and ill never go back.

But that's in your opinion. I like PFS better too but I also have and love petco sand.

I got the super fine all white sand. I love it.
When it gets wet it kinda compacts together in a way.
Ive had no problems.
I love pfs too.but i really like the texture and color of the petco sand. It feels kinda like corn starch mixed with water in a way if youve ever played with that.

I got a 75lb bag of white silica sand from my local handyman store. It's the same as pool filter sand and only cost 8 bucks. I have had no problems with it and would high recommend it to anyone wanting to go with a sand bottom. The sand from your LFS will be very expensive.
