plants from lake?

could i put plants that i found from my pond or nearby river into my tank???? and what could i use to get rid of the parasites and stuff on them??? would hydrogen proxide or rubbing alchol work???

also what are some plants that i could buy that require low to medium lighting????

yes, absolutely!! how do ya think the first planted aquarium was made? lewl

as for killing parasites, dilute 1 part bleach into about 15-20 parts water. dip in and rinse.

i woudl qt the the plants first. fl has a lot of invasive spices of plants down there. i would do a 20 to 1 bleach dip and qt them.
