Platty breeding tank

So I have a pregnant platy and she's really fat now so I put her in my 8 gal shrimp tank in progress. There's only 2 amanos in it and they seem safe. I gave the pregnant one a female companion that I plan on taking out when the other gets a gravid spot. Then I boiled a pot with a little hole in the top so the fry can swim to cover there. Here's the tank. Will this work?

Dealing with endler and guppy fry they like to swim at the top when born i notice. maybe just the pic or me not looking hard enough but i don't see any top cover.

Ya theres no top cover. What do you recomend i do for cover.

uhm personally i like water sprite. Uhm maybe like the plastic things people hand around their house? No idea what its called but as long as it is 100% plastic or ofc a live plant.
