Platy and Rosy Barbs

Hello, I got 3 platy's (2 males and 1 female) and 3 Rosy Barbs in a new 30Gal tank. After 2 hours I saw 1 Rosy barb being chased by 2 male platies and finally it was dead...

Are platy's aggressive? What other fishes can I add now? I wanted to have angel fishes. pls advice.

Well, Rosy Barbs should be in shoal. If not in a shoal, I would expect casualties. Get at least 6, I think. A larger shoal would probably stop the platies from picking on them- safety in numbers!

I suggest keeping the male:female ratio of platies at 1:2. Get 3 more females at least, but be prepared for babies. I expect the female will be sexually harassed into weakness/illness.

Keep in mind your stocking capacity as you add more fish to this tank!
