Platy Or Molly

Hi, i just wanted to settle a dispute(friendly of course!!) with a mate. I said both fish below are platies but he insists the orange one is a molly. Can someone please settle this!!!...Thanks, Ian

I'm sure both are platies. Look at the dorsal fin and tails, both are the same shape on each fish. Both species can have a zillion color combinations.

both are Platy. the top one I actually have. the bottom is a twin bar platy
