Will a sudden temp drop (84 to 60 in 24 hrs) kill BB? I had to take the heater out of my 55g and put it into my fry tank. I thought to myself "well how does BB live in koi ponds then?" and moved it. Am I right?

I doubt you killed it, but you may have stunned it. Just keep an eye on the toxin levels in the tank for a few days after the temp stabilizes. Here's a source that I've found is helpful: Nitrifying Bacteria Facts

(from above link):
"The temperature for optimum growth of nitrifying bacteria is between 77-86° F (25-30° C).
Growth rate is decreased by 50% at 64° F (18° C).
Growth rate is decreased by 75% at 46-50° F.
No activity will occur at 39° F (4° C)
Nitrifying bacteria will die at 32° F (0° C).
Nitrifying bacteria will die at 120° F (49° C)"

Thanks :) I was worried because it has slowed down. It takes it almost two days to get 4 ppm to 0 now.

Oh, is this a fishless cycle? Sorry I thought you had fish in it. But yes it probably slowed it some; it might set things back a few days but it should be fine.
