Hello all,
I am wondering, after a new tank setup, how long should I wait before adding a pleco. There is algae growth on glass and structure in tank. Not a lot but enough maybe for a bristle nose. Tank was started on january 25th and doing well now with established bio wheel.

You can add the pleco now. But you'll have to supplement with algae wafers and other food. Minor algae growth in the tank will be gone pretty quick. One of my tanks was covered with brown algae. One small pleco cleaned it spotless in a matter of 48 hours. So you'll have to feed the pleco in addition to what ever algae he gets from the tank. It's also a good idea to have a piece of drift wood in the tank, as it's part of a plecos diet.
