Some are more social than others. What species are you asking about? If you have it already, how long has it been in your tank? The more hiding spots you have available for it, the more it will be out, weird I know. Sorry for all the questions.

Common spotted Pleco I think. Got it 2 days ago it come out it just doesn't come out much
