Ok I know that algae in an aquarium isn't enough food for a pleco. I've never owned one before, so I'm wondering if cucumbers are safe for them to eat. :huh:If so, can they eat it raw if I wash it very well with hot water? Or do I have to boil it first?

It is fine raw. I don't feed mine anything except New Life Spectrum pellets.

My pleco won't eat anything other than algae and general debris. I put down stuff all the time, he just ignores it, whether it's raw or cooked. Bleedin' primadonna!

He still managed to make enourmously long poo's across the floor of the tank.

Haha yeah I've tryed feeding him sinking algae wafers but the mollies all eat it before he finds it.
