Hi

not sure a better pic would be good if you can get one. It could be a peppermint pleco. That's just my opinion but it's hard to see with those pics.
 
Sorry for the bad pics I took them with my iPod and I can't get a better one. The guy at the LFS told me it's a bristle nose but I does not look like one. It is black with gray colored dots and gold/ yellow coloring on the tip of each of his fins. Hope this helped.
 
My bristle nose Pleco has white edges on his fins and looks just like that. Though his fins are shorter I think.
 
After a quick look, I thought a common pleco because of the large spots, but upon a second look and noticing the white on the fins, I would have to agree that it is an ancistrus/BN pleco.

I agree as I have one very similar but without a closer picture it's hard to say. Is the body rounded at all?
 
Hmm... I can see how this could be a few differant types..

Op- can we have a pic of its face? Just to see if there are bristles
