Poly Filter

has anyone tired the poly filter in a AquaClear [acronym:8e2a2b26b4="Hang On Back"]HOB[/acronym:8e2a2b26b4] power filter? by Poly-Bio-Marine, Inc. www.poly-bio-marine.com

My [acronym:8e2a2b26b4="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:8e2a2b26b4] has them and he was saying that they are great. I have no idea about it just wondering if they are as good as he says.

Thanks

Are they pads? You can use whatever machanical filtration you want to in a AquaClear [acronym:3f3cee9856="Hang On Back"]HOB[/acronym:3f3cee9856].. I personaly would go with a cheaper machanical media like the poly that they use to fill pillows in the craft section at the department store.

yeah, I just got a HUGE bag of 100% poly from walmart for just $2! I stuck it in my filters on my various tanks and will eventually take the old cartridges out, once the bacteria has set into the new stuff.

Sounds an awful lot like Purigen...if so, then yes, you can use it in an Aquaclear.
